I began making candles for myself years ago for meditation. A dear friend had a booth at a local market selling crystals and tea and there were chandlers (candlemakers) in the booth next to her. They were very friendly and helped me in my craft. Soon, they were deployed to a new duty station and I took their spot at the market next to my friend. My first market, I had only a handful of candles with hand-written labels. Simple. Simple fits me - my branding, my booth, my philosophy. Crafting for me continues to be a meditation.
